The Hamilton House Team was so proud to be able to showcase the amazing artistic talents of our resident artist, Lois Wolf, this afternoon. Residents and guests admired Lois’s beautiful collection of three-dimensional paintings and wooden carvings, while enjoying bubbly and noshing on delicious snacks put together by our culinary department. Nothing says a celebration like cheese, sparkling wine, artwork, and happy faces all around.
Cheers to Lois Wolf and her brilliant artwork! ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽจ

Loved it!

This was such an AWESOME event highlighting the lifework of a wonderful lady who didn't start painting until into her mid to late 50s. Just goes to show you are never too old to learn/try something new! Thanks for sharing your talents with us today Lois! Your artwork is incredible!

It was a great event!!โค๏ธ

Hamilton House Residents hit the ground running this afternoon by participating in a scrimmage of the "Grip Games". This is a month long series of Round Robin competitions between Hamilton House Senior Living and other Lifespark Senior Living Communities in Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Our residents will be competing weekly on Thursday afternoons between 1:00-2:00 PM.

The goal of this competition is to be the community that pumps the most gallons of water. This is accomplished by working as a team and squeezing four rubber bulbs connected by tubing ; called the "Power House". The Power House is then connected to a microphone and laptop to the "Opticom".

The Opticom is a large screen that allows residents to see their competitors in real time. The residents can not only see the water they are pumping; but they can also see what their competitors are pumping as well!

Our residents were troopers and squeezed with determination for four "waves" that lasted five minutes each. Hard work!

The residents took turns and cheered each other on. We even had our own cheerleaders! The residents voted and the team name "The Hamilton Hustlers" was decided democratically.

The ultimate goal of the Grip Games is not only to win and have bragging rights, but to also foster teamwork, a sense of purpose, grip strength and most importantly, to engage in a FUN group event.

We encourage family members and friends to join us for the competitions and to also encourage participation of their loved ones in the "Grip Games". Grip strength, and a sense of community is so.important for our residents.

Go Team Hamilton Hustlers!!

You got this! ๐Ÿ’œ
